Book Description:

This historical mystery features undercover agent, Jim Hunter, who takes on dual roles in the 1940s. First, he assists Allied forces in their attack upon Normandy beaches and Japanese territories. Then he is hired by an international organization to identify criminals in a variety of nations criminals who spawn others of their kind in the United States.
Jim's unique feats are accomplished through his use of a slim backpack devise that allows him to send and receive coded messages. He relies on the device (named "Charlie") to intercept and interpret Nazi messages and to deceive enemies with false information.
Suspense is enhanced by interaction with unknown assailants who support robberies, rape, murder and partnerships with the Mafia. Intrigue is enhanced by chapters involving atomic bomb developer, Robert Oppenheimer, and the Argentinian leaders, Juan and Eva Peron.
Spying for Keeps, both a mystery and counter-espionage thriller, highlights the many sacrifices made during World War II, and demonstrates the extent of criminal infiltration in its aftermath.
